OATh Priestess: We enter the season of Ostara. Now as the Maiden treads
again upon the land, we receive from her hands the promise of Spring and of new life
to sustain the clan. We celebrate the return of the birds, the greening of the earth,
the birth of lambs and all young things. So too did our ancestors celebrate this
turning from the bleak season of winter into the the season of new life.
And with the return of spring and the migrations of the birds, so too did those of
the clans send forth their offspring to found new clans and tribes. The clan gave
birth and life to those who would follow after, raising new clans in their time.
Tonight, we gather to witness just such an event in our own tribe, as we create a
daughter coven of our own.
OATH High Priest: Let the leaders of Tangled
Moon stand forth.
OATh High Priestess: To lead a coven is a great responsibility,
for upon the leaders of a group rests the burden of teaching the young, nurturing
the sick and hurting, and carrying on the work of the Lady. Are you prepared to carry
forth this task?
TM Priest/Priestess: We are.
OATh High Prietess:
Are you prepared to lead the coven of Tangled Moon in accordance with the customs
and bylaws of the Oak, Ash, and Thorn tradition?
TM Priest/Priestess:
We are
OATh High Prietess: Though a clan may not prosper without strong
leaders to guide it along the Lady’s path, yet those same leaders require the the
strength and aid of those in their clan to succeed. Without the hard work of all
within the clan or village, there is no assurance that the clan will survive. Who
among you stands forth to support this Priest and this Priestess in their endeavor?
(All
members of Tangled Moon step forward)
OATh High Priestess: And
do you, the Initiates and Celebrants of Tangled Moon, promise to support these your
Priest and Priestess, to aid each other in time of need, to teach others who come
to you seeking the Lord and Lady, and to abide by the customs and bylaws of the Oak,
Ash, and Thorn Tradition?
Tangled Moon members: We do.
OATh
High Priestess: We, the Initiate’s Council of Oak, Ash, and Thorn, have watched
the growth of our new clan of Tangled Moon. We have judged the capability of its
leaders and its other members to carry on the Oak, Ash, and Thorn Tradition. Is it
now the the will of the Council, that Tangled Moon should be considered a daughter
coven of the Oak, Ash, and Thorn Tradition, with all the rights and privileges as
outlined in the Tradition bylaws?
Initiates of Oak, Ash and Thorn respond.
OATH
High Priestess introduces the HP/HPS of Tangled Moon to the Guardians.)
OATh
High Priestess: Aquila, who holds the Eastern gate. These are Lark and Brock,
leaders of Tangled Moon. Grant them your insight and intellect that they may lead
their clan wisely and well.
OATh High Priestess: Leonis, who holds
the Southern gate. These are Lark and Brock, leaders of Tangled Moon. Grant them
your strength and firey passion that they may lead their clan safely through trying
times.
OATh High Priestess: Ormsilvern, who holds the Western gate.
These are Lark and Brock, leaders of Tangled Moon. Grant them your deep emotions
that they may always be patient and understanding in their dealings with others.

OATh High Priestess:
Then by the will of the Initiate’s Council of Oak, Ash, and Thorn, and in accordance
with the bylaws of that Tradition, let it be known to all present, that Tangled Moon
Coven is a full and independent coven of the OATh. So mote it be!
